Someone asked how my dental work went and for some reason I can't believe that people actually read my blog. What a deal! Thanks. The surgery was great. I felt like it was over in 5 seconds. I don't even remember fallling asleep. My friend, Ann drove, picked up my perscriptions and sat at home with me until the kids got home from school. She left 2 Vicadin pills with my oldest son, Andy and JB came home from work shortly afterwards. I ended up only taking one of the Vicadin for pain. I wrestled for a couple days with whether or not I needed another one, because part of me said the pain is not that bad with the Ibuprofin and the other part of me screamed, "YOU are missing out on your chance if you don't ask for another one right now!" So, I was a little crabby and mentally exhausted from the fight going on in my head, but it's over now. Is it weird that we got Andy involved in holding Vicadin for me? Not really. We talk very openly in our family about my addiction because secrets have always been like a cancer in my family growing up. When I'm not sure whether to tell my kids something or not, I err on the side of honesty and openness. It seems to work. We joke about it a lot and it leaves room for other great conversations.

We have cousins at our house from California, so I probably won't update again until after Christmas, so thanks for reading the blog! After Christmas I've carved out more time to write my book because I really need to finish it by this spring. Since Oprah is cancelling her show, I need to give her some time to read it so she can fit me into her schedule. lol. As I get closer to finishing the book I'll post the first chapter so you can get the flavor of it. Have a Merry Christmas!!!!
