School starts for my kids in 31 hours. Since my last post my computer crashed, we had our fantasy football draft, we bought two little water frogs for my daughter and our new high school, Eastridge played it's very first football game against their old teammates/rivals, Woodbury. It's been a big week...or two. I can't remember when I posted last which reminds me that I'd talked to a couple people who wondered if I was going to have a regular posting schedule so they'd know when to check. I'm not good at routines, but I think it would be a good time to start, so I'm going to post every Tuesday and Friday.
JB, my husband, is working on trying to save what he can from my hard drive while resisting the temptation to ask me why I didn't use the back up "thingy" he bought for me the last time my computer crashed (actually, I think he bought me the back up thing even before my first computer crashed). Our fantasy football draft was very fun because we have a very competitive group of people from church. We all put our Christianity aside for the football season. It's way more fun that way. Jenna's frogs are doing well. We were worried about the water being too cold so we used JB's kitchen thermometer, which we submerged and broke. He didn't find out we had broke it until he was making steaks for our fantasy football team on draft night. That's when I found out the thermometer had cost $100. I'm hoping it will dry out and a new battery will bring it back to life. Either way, the frogs are doing well. Lastly, Johnny and I gave up cheap Vikings Preseason tickets to go to the Woodbury/Eastridge football game. It looked like all of Woodbury and Cottage Grove were there. The stands were packed and there were people lined all along the fences. Eastridge turned out to be more competition than anyone thought, but Woodbury pulled ahead in the second half.
The countdown is now 30 hours until school. I'm sure I'll have plenty to say on Tuesday's post once the KIDS GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!!
