MY KIDS STARTED SCHOOL TODAY! I love the summer, but I need a schedule and I'm not disciplined enough to make one myself, so school is a welcomed scheduling tool. I've heard a lot of stay at home moms say the same thing. "It's so nice to get back to a regular schedule." To be honest, what I really mean is it's nice to drink my coffee without the kids fighting over the cartoon channel or asking me to make homemade waffles. I've tried to make really bad waffles so they'd rather just pop a frozen one in the toaster, but it hasn't worked.
With the kids out the door, there is still plenty of work to do around the house. My neighbor is waiting for me to clean my garage so I can get at least one car back inside and the dishes, although they look spotless, probably need to be sanitized after the dogs are done licking them. But these chores are flexible, which often means optional to me...at least for the time being. So, this morning I'm going to drink my coffee, go for a run and then start working on my book again. Thanks to my husband's computer skills and willingness to give up his whole holiday weekend to save my information off my virus ridden hard drive. You rock honey! I promise I'll try to remember to back it up this time. :)
