Winter Early!

I've been dreading winter since football started. I correlate the two because Johnny's football season starts with me on the sidelines in shorts and ends with me on the sidelines in a winter jacket, hat, mittens and many layers underneath. I have always liked the warm summers over the cold winters here in MN, but I've been dreading winter more and more with each year. So, I decided to change my perspective. One of the things I learned to do when I had depression is to make a list of the things I was grateful for. It didn't solve my problems, but it did feel better to focus on the positive rather than the negative. So, what do I like about winter? The snow on the trees right now is absolutely beautiful. My kids love to snowboard, so we'll be spending family time together at Afton soon. Andy is looking at getting his first job as a Jr. Ski Instructor. I cleaned my garage in order to get our cars inside for the winter. And last but not least, the dog poo is much easier to pick up when it's cold outside!
