BE tHe TarGet MaN!

I was reading a blog this morning that talked about how some things that take Just a moment to do can have very Lasting effects; good or bad.  It reminded me of a guy that works at Target.  He was so happy and kind that Jenna and I still talk about how he made our day and it's been weeks since we've seen him.  Every time we go into Target we look for him.  I smile just thinking about our interaction.  What if I ran into someone like the nice Target Man every day?  It would sure help overcome all the bad news we've had lately with officers being shot, floods, earthquakes and volcanos, the oil spill wreaking havoc in the gulf, suicide bombers, war and the airline's added fees for luggage among other things.

So, I have to ask myself; why am I not the Target man to someone every day?  It comes down to my Perspective and Attitude.  I used to be the Target man, but for the last 6 years I've been more cynical than positive.  With depression, alcoholism, perfectionism, disappointment, unmet expectations and loss I have let myself become selfish and pessimistic, which is bad in any case, but 'Positivity' is one of my top five in my strengthfinders test!  That's Ridiculous! So my goal for today is to BE the Target Man!  I'll let you know how it goes.
