I wish I was a more organized person. I tried for a number of years to tackle my mess by making files for all of our paperwork, putting matching towels in the bathroom and labeling bins for all my holiday decorations. Unfortunatley, I spent years trying to do this and beating myself up along the way for failing. What I finally learned was that I don't think that way and I could spend another dozen years trying and still not succeeding. I have learned how to focus on my strengths and let go of my weaknesses. Instead of making files for my paperwork, I dump everything into one big basket and I pat myself on the back if I have any towels in the bathroom. A clean sink is a bonus. And I don't have many holiday decorations, but the ones I have get put away in either the basement, a closet or the garage and if I find some of them for a particular holiday, hallelujah! I worry less about organizing things and more about the things I love the most, like my family, my friends and my writing. I won't get any rewards for being the greatest hostess, but when my teenage kids tell me absolutely everything about their day, it is reward enough.

Organizing
I wish I was a more organized person.
